Something to listen to this weekend...

Photo: The mist rising from the beautifully heated Claremont Pool at 530am on Friday 15th June 2018 - if you've been putting off coming down to the squad of late, don't! It's gorgeous down here at this time of year!

Dear Swimmers

I hope you are all enjoying this amazing sunshine. Looks set to continue all weekend - whoop!

Recently I was interviewed for one of the worlds preeminent podcasts on triathlon training, That Triathlon Show, about my ideas and methodologies on training strategies for triathletes and open water swimmers. The host, Mikael Eriksson (based between Portugal and Finland), is a big fan of all things Swim Smooth and recently rated Swim Smooth as the world's # 2 resource on all things triathlon (not bad given we are a swim program 😉 up against some very notable triathlon resources) - here's the link: https://scientifictriathlon.com/tts125/

Anyway, I was really happy with how the podcast went and we spent a lot of time talking about you guys in the Swim Smooth Perth Squad and the rhyme and reason behind why I get you to do the silly things I do at 530am each morning!! The show was so full of content that it had to be split into 2 parts which you can listen to here:

Squad Sessions:

So if you liked the sound of the rationale behind what we do, but haven't yet checked out all of the types of sessions we do, make this a priority by selecting a few sessions from within the app and seeing how you go, perhaps starting with tomorrow's Saturday Stoic session which gives you a blend of all 5 types of session!

If you're in the mix for wanting a permanent spot in any of the sessions, NOW is the time to drop me a line to swimsmooth@me.com and make your requests. We definitely have availability in ALL 930am sessions as well as the two 615pm sessions on a Tuesday and Thursday (you might even snag a spot in the new Saturday session once we've received the final approval on the continuity of this session from the pool - watch this space!).

Have a great weekend!

Paul
